Williams fixates on the spell of our screens and the unease they generate. In \u001cInfinite Scroll\u001d (2026), acrylic and oil on canvas, 42 x 44 inches, a nude figure with frazzled hair lies in bed beneath sickly-hued linens, fingertips lit an angry red while clutching a navy phone. An electric infinity sign hovers over the scene, unfurling like a perpetual current from the device. It\u00199s a clear emblem for the endless loop Williams pursues across the series.

Extrapolating how humans and machines tangle together, the Brooklyn-based artist shapes a mystical realm steeped in pop culture and art history. In \u001cMerminator\u001d (2026), oil on linen, 60 x 40 inches, a metallic hybrid of an \u001980s cyborg assassin and a Disney princess sits atop a rock, echoing Ariel\u00199s gaze toward a world it yearns for but remains outside. \u001cI Am Not a Robot\u001d (2026), acrylic and oil on canvas, 48 x 48 inches, is a symmetrical composition that nods to the spiritualist abstractions of Hilma af Klint. It also draws on Boticelli\u00199s \u001cMadonna of the Pomegranate,\u001d which uses the fruit as a stand-in for the heart; here, the pulsing center becomes a phone, radiating outward as the new lifeline.

Titles, media, and measures

Infinite Scroll (2026), acrylic and oil on canvas, 42 x 44 inches

Merminator (2026), oil on linen, 60 x 40 inches

I Am Not a Robot (2026), acrylic and oil on canvas, 48 x 48 inches

Holy Thirst Trap (2026), oil on linen, 42 x 30 inches

Language Model (2026), oil on canvas, 60 x 54 inches

Spooky Action at a Distance (2026), acrylic and oil on canvas, 60 x 44 inches

Titled Act Natural, the body of work leans into the uncanny, conjuring a hyper-sleek, frictionless world where the magnetism of technology sits alongside its menace.
