Corey Helford Gallery marks its twentieth year with a two-part anniversary program in 2026, unfolding across all three galleries and spanning late summer into fall. The August Edition opened August 8 and runs through September 12, anchored by a twentieth-anniversary exhibition in the Main Gallery, 0 Years of CHG: A Dive Into the Archive in Gallery 2, and solo exhibitions by Molly Devlin and Orn e9lie sharing Gallery 3. The September Edition opens September 19 and runs through October 24.
Main Gallery: Recognition and Surprise
In the Main Gallery, the show toggles between the familiar and the unexpected. HUSHs Static Bloom lands with the ease of recognition, while Shepard Faireys OP-Art Icon (Green Gradient) (2023) turns that recognition into a prompt to look again. Handiedans Amo in Blue (2026) rewards close viewing: a blue-and-white field resolves into mixed media layers digital and hand-cut collage, vintage ceramics, paper, foam board, found materials, and matte varnish on BFK Dordrecht porcelain (27.5″ x 27.5″). Faith XLVIIs Solar Logos II pivots in another direction altogether, built from horse-racing betting sheets, gold leaf, acrylic, pencil crayon, and crayon.
The gallerys past is never far from view. A memory of D*Faces 2011 exhibition Going Nowhere Fast with a skeleton couple in a black vintage car underscores how this anniversary folds two decades of shows into the present moment.
Gallery 2: The Archive Remembers
Gallery 2s survey, 20 Years of CHG: A Dive Into the Archive, makes the case for revisiting. Herakuts Herakut Family Member, 2019 (acrylic, spray paint, ink, and charcoal on canvas, 47″ x 31″) brings back a distinctly narrative language, a reminder that the gallerys history is built as much from rooms and installations as from singular canvases.
Gallery 3: Counterpoints in Close Quarters
Gallery 3 hosts two solos in deliberate contrast. Orn e9lies Midnight Bloom gathers hand-painted polymer-clay sculptures where flowers and organic forms emerge from bodies, opening onto scenes of transformation. In the adjacent presentation, Molly Devlins paintings offer a softer register; among them, Fern-Ling (2026), acrylic on birch in an antique wooden frame (7.5″ x 6″).
