IBAC charges former NGV senior executive over alleged AUD 8 million smartphone resales

A former senior executive at the National Gallery of Victoria has been accused of diverting approximately AUD 8 million from a work account between September 2019 and September 2025 to buy and resell smartphones. After a year-long IBAC investigation, the man faces eight charges and is due at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on October 20; NGV reports its collection was not affected.
