Guadeloupe-born, Montre9al-based artist Eddy Firmin uses ceramic sculpture and sound-minded installations to probe the legacies of slavery, resistance, and consumerismfrom a mobile DJ booth made with Ge9raldine Entiope to self-portraits that confront corporate power. His work appears starting October 9 in After the Island: Caribbean Canadian Ceramics at the Gardiner Museum in Toronto.
